Recent Grant Awards

· Middle and High School I-Teams - $ 650

Technology Certification Projects- Building toward student and teacher teams collaborating to integrate technology into learning. Their work will be to provide service to staff and community members looking for help with technology.

· Exploring the Impact of Vigorous Physical Activity on Learning - $600

A physical activity research project examining the impact of vigorous physical activity and breakfast on academic performance

· Targeting the Zone - $2,034.90

Using heart rate monitors with 5th grade students in their PE classes helping students learn their "working zone" and providing them a means to track their performance data over time

· Collaborative Photography Project; Art, Technology, and Writing - $900

Photography and Writing Collaboration - 5th graders working with Bowdoin College Art Students that involves art, technology and writing. The students will learn the basics of photography, technology, and critical analysis for reflection and critiques of photography. The focus is using digital documentary photography in conjunction with expository writing. They will receive ongoing support for their work from the Bowdoin College students through a secure Google website.
